The redevelopment of the park was made possible thanks to a £150,000 grant from Cory Environmental Trust (CET), an environmental body which supports community and environmental projects.
The park - now known as Belvedere Beach - has recently had installed an interpretation panel and there is a touring exhibition telling its history. Residents' memories of the park were also collected and a leaflet "Belvedere Beach: a brief history of a local park" produced which is available, as well as the interpretation panel and exhibition banners.
